health insurance
health insurance is something everyone needs. But
millions of American's don't have it. Why not ? Mainly
because it can be expensive.
Health Insurance usually comes with a job. If you work for
a small company, you should be able to add on to their scheme.
Their insurer isn't allowed to discriminate, even if you have
existing medical conditions.
Health insurance conditions vary by state. But federal law
covers some of the more important issues. For example, if you
live in California, there's various rules on non-discrimination and
your existing insurance is guaranteed renewable.
If you leave your job, you should be able to remain in your old
group health plan for a certain length of time. Then when you
move to a new job, within a specified time period, cover will
transfer over without any break.
